About Ruth Villa

Ruth Villa is a painter, muralist, chalk artist, sculptor, and figure artist whose work is inspired by nature, humanity, and the beauty found in everyday life. Working across a wide range of mediums, Ruth creates paintings, murals, chalk art, ceramics, sculpture, resin art, and handcrafted pieces including candles and soaps.

For Ruth, art is a way of exploring, connecting, and expressing the world around her. She is drawn to the freedom of working with different materials and techniques, allowing each medium to inspire a different kind of creativity. Whether working on a canvas, creating a large-scale mural, sculpting in clay, drawing the human figure, or creating something by hand, Ruth approaches each piece with curiosity and a love for the creative process.

With more than 20 years of experience as an artist, Ruth has exhibited her work in galleries and created commissioned paintings, murals, and public art for clients and communities. Her work has taken her beyond the studio and into public spaces, where she enjoys creating art that invites people to stop, connect, and experience the creative process firsthand.

Ruth is especially passionate about the connection that happens when art is created in public. Through chalk art, murals, and other community-based projects, she enjoys sharing the creative process with people and creating opportunities for art to be experienced up close and in the moment. For Ruth, creating art is not only about the finished piece, but also about the experiences, relationships, and moments of inspiration that happen along the way.
